Vani Iswara began her dance journey at a very young age by learning Kuchipudi under the guidance of Guru Sri Vedantam Mallikarjuna Sarma. When she moved to Baroda, she continued with Kuchipudi and started Bharatanatyam under Guru Smt. Rema Shrikant. Vani had the honor of pursuing her Bachelors and Masters at M S University specializing in Bharatanatyam under the guidance of legendary Guru, Professor C V Chandrasekhar. She topped the university and was awarded a gold medal and a scholarship for dance. She gave many memorable solo performances and was also a part of many productions choreographed by Guru Smt. Rema Shrikant and Professor C V Chandrasekhar. Vani has also earned her two Masters - in Clinical Psychology from M S University and in Dance/Movement Therapy from Columbia College.

By imparting her knowledge of this ancient art form to her students, Vani believes in molding them into perfection. Her unique style of teaching commands a great respect for this classical dance from all her students and her faith is that respect leads to perfection in execution. Her imaginative choreographies have a mesmerizing effect on the audiences and she attributes that to the influence of the rich lineage of her elite gurus. She believes in sharing her passion for this great art with each of her students.
