REVIEWS AND ACCOLADES FROM OTHER DISTINGUISHED ARTISTES
Valli Margat, the renowned dance critic observed in Sruti - the well-respected magazine for classical arts of India after Satyavani's performance in the ballet - Vasant Vilas, choreographed by Prof. C. V. Chandrasekhar for the Indian Science Congress held in Baroda:
"Satyavani and Rema (Satyavani's Guru) stand out among a group of twenty dancers in the ballet for their perfection in execution of technique, lending the recital dignity and restraint, the hallmarks of Indian Classical Art."
Prof. C. V. Chandrasekhar, about her long association with his choreographs before she moved to United States:
"Satyavani has all the requisites for a dancer, viz., a beautiful stage presence, an excellent angasuddham, an involved abhinaya and above all a total devotion to dance. She has taken part in the ballets choreographed and presented by me inviting special appreciation. She has many solo performances of Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi to her credit which have received very high acclaims. Endowed with a pleasant personality and humility, Satyavani represents the young generation willing to carry forward the ideals of the Indian art."
About her captivating Kuchipudi performance at Thyagaraja Ganasabha, Hyderabad, the local news review in Andhra Bhoomi writes:
"Satyavani's scintillating performance in the traditional Kuchipudi style included the legendary Bhama kalapam, in which the artiste gave a brilliant display of her artistry and abhinaya. In the Tarangam, which was the last item of the exquisite recital, she displayed her concentration and excellent control by dancing with grace on a brass plate, balancing a brass pot on her head while holding lighted diyas in both her hands and on the brass pot."
The legendary Yamini Krishnamurty, on Satyavani's performance in Pancha Mahabhuta choreographed by Prof. C. V. Chandrasekhar, during the Festival of Dance organized by ITC at Bangalore, where Yamini presented a ballet of her own:
"I am thoroughly impressed by Satyavani's persuasive intensity through the nritta and abhinaya, having total consonance with the character, devoid of any tinge of self-consciousness."
TANA Patrika - published by the Telugu Association of North America (TANA) in their section on Pravasandhra Vaibhavam paid a special tribute to Satyavani's performance for the UGADI celebrations in 1993 organized by the Telugu Kala Samiti of Vashi, depicting pictures of her performance.
