Vijaya Dasami schedule ...
As has been the tradition of our school, students visit to learn something new to dance. It is an auspicious day to start something new. This does not mean that the ones who miss coming will not learn what I am teaching on that day. Please note that this is not going to be a long class. Each student who comes in will dance in front of the lord.
I am canceling the regular classes this Thursday and all our students are welcome to come to the Flower Mound studio between 5 PM to 7 PM. I look forward to seeing you all.
Address of Flower Mound Studio: 3345 Long Prairie Rd Flower Mound TX
Vani Iswara established Ellora Center for Performing Arts (ECPA) in USA in honor of the institute started by her Guru Smt. Rama Shrikant in India, where Vani was teaching until she moved to the United States. She has been teaching Bharatanatyam in the country since 1994 and in DFW area since 2003. ECPA conducts classes in Flower Mound and Coppell areas. The goal of Ellora Center for Performing Arts is to promote Indian Classical Dance through the budding dancers who undergo rigorous training for perfection and professionalism.
With the blessings of the almighty and Vani’s Gurus, ECPA has grown into a premier dance institute in the Dallas area. Each year, dance enthusiasts look forward to the enchanting choreographies of Vani at the Natya Samarpanam shows where all the students are given opportunity to showcase their talents. Last year, ECPA also presented Natya Charitam – a journey through the history of Dance through the ages – choreographed by Vani in Bharatanatyam style, as a fund-raiser for Karya Siddhi Hanuman temple in Frisco, TX. This year in October, she presented Natya Drishti – Vision: A gift from the God depicting the aspects of Lord Shiva. The proceeds from this event were donated to Shankara Eye foundation effecting vision for more than 160 individuals.
Due to her passion for indian classical dance and music, Vani also established Natyaveda, a non-profit tax exempt organization to promote Indian Classical Dance and Music. Natyaveda has been bringing the highest quality performances and workshops by renowned Gurus as well as providing a platform for the future generations to continue taking their dance/music to the next level. Natyaveda conducts monthly dance recitals for the budding dancers and this year Natyaveda began with Natya Tarangam for the next generation dancers to give full length solo recitals. Natyaveda achieved another milestone by bringing the first of the Nada Ganga Carnatic music tours featuring Dr. T S Sathyavathi and her tour . This year Natyaveda presented workshop by Prof C V Chandrasekhar and is also presenting Bharatanatyam solo recital by Sri Shijith Nambiar.
